CACEIS won the Best initiative in digital assets award for its new digital asset custody offer at the 9th AM TECH DAY event dedicated to technology innovation.
CACEIS staff attended the 15th AM TECH DAY in Paris on 8th October 2024, an event that attracts over 1,000 people from the tech and finance worlds, including asset managers, insurers, private bankers, fintechs and software providers. For 9 years, the AM TECH DAY has been handing out awards to companies offering the most innovative services for clients and the best technological solutions.
CACEIS’ award was in recognition of the group’s commitment to supporting clients’ initial moves into Blockchain-based activities.
The digital asset custody offer relies on a brand new and specifically designed technological infrastructure that is fully integrated with CACEIS’ existing IT systems. This ensures service consistency across the entire network in terms of reporting, risk control and compliance and IT security. The IT infrastructure, which incorporates platform elements of digital asset storage and tokenisation specialist, Taurus, handles all types of digital assets. It also leverages the Scorechain platform, Europe’s leading supplier of compliance solutions for the blockchain ecosystem. This innovative service package enables clients hold digital assets in an environment that offers the same levels of security and reliability as enjoyed by traditional assets.
Laurent Majchrzak, Group Head of Digital Assets, said: ‘We are proud to have built this offering, which marks the beginning of the hybridisation of asset custody by combining traditional assets with the possibility for CACEIS clients to experiment with the custody of digital assets in blockchain and the intrinsic benefits of this technology’.
The new offering positions CACEIS as a trusted third party in the blockchain universe. CACEIS is the first asset servicer to obtain Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) status in France, and since July this year, has been the only custodian of digital assets to be registered with the Bank of Spain.
Congratulations to all the CACEIS staff members involved in this successful project!
